The Dora cut away is a design that is based off the original curves from Greg Noll and Micky Dora. This fin is a replica with a little modern twist.
At the time, Dora was surfing his more Heavily based dee fins in his boards. He found that they had amazing drive and hold on the nose, but were hard to pivot and turn fast. That's when they decided to take a cut out of the body of the fin, give the fin a larger base with a lot of area in the tip of the fin. This Translates into a fin that can really loosen up your old log without losing the hold that a larger fin has.
